The Control Room Officer is responsible for monitoring and managing security systems, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to, and responding to incidents in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires vigilance, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to maintain the smooth operation of the control room and ensure the safety of the premises.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitoring & Surveillance

• Operate and monitor CCTV systems, fire alarm control panels (FACP), and access control systems.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure all equipment is functioning optimally, including cameras, software, and alarms.
• Maintain constant vigilance to identify suspicious activities or security breaches.

2. Incident Response

• Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies, verify their nature, and coordinate appropriate actions.
• Facilitate emergency evacuations using public addressing systems and support Emergency Response Teams (ERT) during crises.
• Document incidents accurately in logs or reports for further review.

3. System Maintenance:

• Perform daily checks on surveillance and access control software for connectivity issues or hardware malfunctions.
• Address equipment complaints or malfunctions with necessary troubleshooting measures.

4. Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain detailed logs of observations, incidents, and system statuses in prescribed formats.
• Prepare reports for management regarding security or operational concerns.

5. Collaboration:

• Coordinate with security personnel on-site and external agencies during emergencies or investigations.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations across shifts.

6. Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to organizational safety standards and regulatory requirements for security systems.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in CCTV operations or safety management preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a control room or similar environment involving surveillance systems or emergency response. 
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating CCTV systems, fire alarm panels, access control software, and incident management tools.
