Role

We are looking for a Supervisor to be assigned with our client Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) to carry out Environmental Monitoring and Compliance duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a Team of Monitoring & Enforcement Security Officers who undertake enforcement action including issue of on-the-spot fines and/or warnings.
• Carry out investigations, handle operational responses, attend to situations and emergencies that may arise and provide necessary written reports.
• Liaise with other law enforcement agencies as appropriate.
• Collect evidence to sustain any infringements observed and report accordingly.

Entry Requirements

• Valid Security Guard licence issued by the Malta Commissioner of Police.
• Valid driving licence
• School Leaving Certificate with a minimum of 6 O' levels (must inc. Maltese, Maths, English and Science or Geography)

AND

Holds a Diploma in Science or Environmental studies AND at least two (2) years experience in the field of Compliance, Enforcement or Environment 

OR  

1 A' level in Science/Geography AND at least three (3) years experience in the field of Compliance, Enforcement or Environment 

OR 

At least five (5) years experience in the field of Compliance, Enforcement or Environment

Skills

• Appropriate training in enforcement and also have working knowledge of relevant legislation and established procedures
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in Maltese and English
• Experience working at a Supervisory level; 
• A nautical licence will be considered an asset (and paid additionally)
